Deep Listening in Newbury: Understanding Local Priorities

ConversationPartners.AI was commissioned by the West Berkshire Green Party to listen to local Newbury residents. The conversations were not ‘political’ but were designed for the local population to openly express their views on a range of things that affected them , both locally and nationally. There was a wide range of conversational topics and again our conversation partners brought great local knowledge and passion for making their town a better place to live.

David expresses below how valuable that listening exercise was to him and the party.

”Bloody brilliant — and I mean that.

What ConversationPartners.AI did with local Newbury residents genuinely stopped me in my tracks. The deep listening approach got to something that polls and surveys never do — what people actually feel, in their own words, about the place they live. It’s about what really matters to them day to day.

For the Green Party to be really effective, we need exactly this kind of human understanding. The conversations were honest, to the point and therefore really invaluable. And the way the findings were distilled made it immediately actionable, not just interesting.

If you want to know what your community or consumers actually think, this is how you find out.”
