True Blue: The Unfiltered Voice of Everton Fans

Everton FC has been through a tremendous period of change, most noticeably through the move to the magnificent Hill Dickinson Stadium and a turbulent period on and off the pitch, prior to the acquisition of the club by The Friedkin Group and in January 2025, the appointment of David Moyes. In March 2026, Paul Rigby, Chair, Everton FC Fan Advisory Board felt the need to do a deep listening exercise with Everton fans. This is what Paul had to say.

“We commissioned ConversationPartners.AI to better understand what our fans were feeling across a range of issues during a period of significant change at the club. The experience has been extremely positive, helping us uncover genuine fan ‘truths’ in a powerful and meaningful way.

The approach enabled Evertonians to speak in their own words, focusing on the issues that mattered most to them. This not only surfaced valuable ‘hidden’ insights but gave us rich context around a passionate and deeply engaged fanbase, along with constructive ideas for how both the Fan Advisory Board and the club can improve.

The supportive use of AI is particularly effective in capturing every word and making sure the conversations are founded on deep listening and are therefore truly fan centric.

The combination of audio and concise written summaries makes the insights both impactful and easy to digest, allowing us to identify key themes quickly and clearly.

At such an important time for the club and its supporters, the Fan Advisory Board is focused on accurately representing fan sentiment in our engagement with Everton. This project has been instrumental in helping us understand what really matters to fans.

We see significant potential to build on this work across a wide range of fan engagement initiatives. I would strongly recommend ConversationPartners.AI to any organisation looking to uncover meaningful insights and bring clarity to support decision making.”Andy Drake, Owner and Founder of Conversation Partners.AI outlines the scope of the Everton fan project

‘’We were very excited to get involved with the Everton Fan Advisory Board on the broad topic of fan engagement. The conversations we conducted created 65 hours of unfettered content and 800 pages of text across a range of areas including their views on their emotional connection to the club, their matchday experience, views on the new stadium, pricing and affordability, views on fan representation, what they most want from the Premier League and their message to Everton.’’

‘’Our 1 to 1 conversational approach, underpinned by the use of AI to transcribe and deal with enormous amounts of data are at the heart of what true fan engagement should be. Particularly now and right across the game, we believe that clubs and leading decision makers need to take a fan-centric approach in everything they do. It’s not just the right thing to do, it’s the right business strategy to achieve sustainable growth.’

Customer Loyalty Through Layout Simplicity

What keeps someone coming back to the same store, week after week? Our conversation with regular grocery shoppers uncovered something quietly powerful, which is often overlooked – environmental consistency. Beyond brand, product, price and promotions, it was the ease of moving through the store – the comforting familiarity of the layout – that built trust and loyalty over time.
